Welcome to Shedders and Fixers

ENJOY.  CREATE.  SOCIALISE

(Charity Number: 1210087)

Shedders and Fixers is a charitable organisation run by a group of dedicated, hard-working volunteers. We are based in a polytunnel shed near Wisbech, on the site of Secret Garden Touring Park.

Whether you are looking for somewhere to work on a project, want to spend time in the company of other crafters, or need the space and equipment to realise your creative vision, then Shedders and Fixers can help.

Our members have a huge range of skills, knowledge and abilities and we welcome everyone regardless of age, abilities or disabilities. We are wheelchair accessible and aim to be fully inclusive for all. Just drop in during our opening times or contact us for more details.

Here are just a few of the crafts you can try at Shedders and Fixers

The shed is made up of three key areas: A large woodworking space, a self-contained metalwork shed and a separate crafting shed. There is also our new kitchen space where we gather for our hard-earned tea and biscuits (and on occasion, a bacon or sausage butty!)

Our new kitchen is a fully accessible space where we can relax with a nice cuppa. It’s also the perfect place to put the world to rights or enjoy a lovely slice of birthday cake! (Photo: July 2026)

We’ve seen lots of new crafters join us, bringing all their knowledge and skills, and we’ve held lots of successful workshops already this year, but that is just the start. There’s so much more to come. Keep and eye on our Current Workshops and Events page for details of all the activities on offer over the next few months.

Check out this amazing video on YouTube about our charity. It shows more about who we are, what we can do, and you’ll see why your support is so important.

The Benefact Group: Movement for Good Awards

Please help Shedders and Fixers raise money for our new roof by nominating us for a Benefact GroupMovement for Good award.

Yes, nominations are open once again, and for every vote we get, it gives us another chance to win £1,000 in both of the next two Movement for Good prize draws this year🍀🤞

  • Draw 2: Between 7th-11th September – 100 prizes of £1,000 each.
  • Draw 3: Between 1st-16th December – 240 prizes of £1,000 each.
Winning just one of these prizes would make a real difference to our new roof fund, so please take a few moments to nominate Shedders and Fixers today. Click on the image below to open Shedder’s and Fixers’ Nomination page. Select the Community category and fill in your details. It’s that easy and super quick to do!

We would be most grateful if you would share this appeal with your friends and family, and encourage them to nominate us too.

We would like to thank all our supporters for your time, and for your help to make this happen 🩷

Cambridgeshire Community Lottery: Super Draw Prize – £2,000 Luxury Holiday (or £2,000 Cash)

Shedders and Fixers are part of the weekly Cambridgeshire Community Lottery. Please see our How You Can Help page for full details.

On top of the weekly draw, is the monthly Super Draw. This month in the Super Draw, you could win you a £2,000 Luxury Holiday – perfect for that Summer break. Enter before 8pm on Saturday, 29th August for your chance to win, or choose a £2,000 cash alternative. Every ticket supports a great cause.

In the last few months, the lottery has raised enough money from the sale of tickets to pay for two of our volunteers to attend First Aid training, which means we can increase the availability of qualified First Aiders during opening hours, at our workshops and other on-site events.

If you’d like to play the lottery and help Shedders and Fixers in the process, CLICK HERE… or scan the QR code, and don’t forget to nominate us as your local good cause.
