Shedders and Fixers is a polytunnel/shed based near Wisbech on the site of Secret Garden Touring Park which is well equipped with a wide variety of working tools for our members to use. We have three main areas: a large woodworking area , a metal work shed and a crafting shed. There is also a kitchen shed where we gather for our tea breaks and quite often there’ll be a bacon/sausage bap included too!
Are you looking for somewhere to build a project? Are you feeling in need of company with other crafters? Do you need somewhere that has the tools to help you realise your crafting vision? We are here to help you, our members have a huge range of skills, knowledge and abilities between us. We welcome everyone regardless of age, disabilities and abilities. We aim to be fully inclusive for everyone and are happy to discuss with you how we can best help you make the most out of your time here at Shedders and Fixers. Just drop in during our opening times or contact us.
The past year has seen some big and wonderful changes for Shedders and Fixers and we already have lots of exciting plans in place for 2024. Some of our big projects of 2023 include: installation of solid concrete flooring throughout our polytunnel, the Craft Shed has been fully renovated and is up and running and has seen lots of new crafting members join us, we have had lots of successful workshops already, the metal shed has just finished its 100% expansion and is also up and running now. We have a new committee in place who have worked incredibly hard to ensure that all our paperwork and policies are up to date and that we are fully compliant with relevant Health and Safety and Risk Assessment Guidelines.
We rely on our hard working volunteers and our donations of tools and equipment as well as charitable donations to keep our shed going. We have been overwhelmed with interest and kind donations from the local community to help us grow. Further funding via grants such as the Good Life Fund from Mind CPSL allows us to expand our services and facilities.
